    Day - Mawlamyine - Ye (L/D)

    Pick up your hotel and start the venture overland drive to (210 km – 4 hours) to YE.

    Drive pass rubber plantation to THANBYUZAYAT and visit to Thanbyuzayet, located 34 km from Mawlamyaing and starting point of the Death Railway connecting Myanmar (Thanbyuzaye Station) and Thailand (Bang Pong Station) with the Bridge over River Kwai, constructed by the Japanese during WWII. The Death Railways began in May 1943 and officially opened on 25th October 1943.

    There is a well-kept Allied War Memorial Cemetery where 3512 stone graves of POWs (1728 British, 1162 Australian and 621 Netherlanders) who died while building the “Death Railway”, Railway Museum and Japanese built pagoda in memory of the perished Japanese engineers and POWs. 12399 POWs and 90000 forced labours died in the construction of notorious Death Railway.

    Before enter to the YE town, visit the Banana Mountain where stunning complex of Buddhist temples, shrines and a monastery. Upon arrival step the stairs for a panoramic view of the area.

    And continue the journey takes on a narrow, winding and bumpy road through the Southern plateau.

    Upon arrival to YE, transfer to your hotel.

    Day - Ye - Dawei (B)

    Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

    In the morning stroll through the busy market of town. 

    And then continue overland (158 km, 4 hours) journey to the capital of Southern Myanmar, DAWEI.

    The journey takes on a narrow, winding through the stunning Southern plateau, which divides the Tanintharyi Division and the Mon State. Passage through dotted white and golden pagodas over the hills.

    Before arrival Dawei, we drive to KALAIN AUNG hill to enjoy breathtaking a panoramic view of the area.

    In the late afternoon arrive to Dawei and transfer to the hotel.

    Day - Dawei (B/L/D)

    Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

    Dawei, the capital of Thanitaryi division in the south of the Myanmar. It is also known as Tavoy in colonial time. Dawei was one of the first cities settled by the English after the first of the three Anglo-Burmese wars, as result the towns have long history and interesting architecture building of colonial era.

    Today we will explore local life of Dawei region, first we explore downtown of colonial building area standing elegantly. Then we will stroll through the main busy market of Dawei where selling variety of products.

    And we will have opportunity to visit local family run business of clay pottery, how to produce local hand-made pottery. 

    And then visit one of the family owned cashew nut business how workers will process to peel one nut.

    And visit to Shwe Taung Sar Pagoda and Paya Gyi museum where own collections of bronze coins, vase’s, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images are displayed.

    In the evening drive to Shwe Tharlyaung reclining Buddha which 74 meter long and 21 meter high is the biggest in Myanmar until the recently built Win Sein Taw Ya Budaha image in Mawlamyine.

    And take short walk up (20 or 30 min) to view point to enjoy impressive and panoramic views over the surrounding city and a breathtaking sunset.

    Day - Dawei - Departure (B/L/D)

    In the early morning visit to bustling riverside market where sell variety of fresh fishes. After visiting transfer back to your hotel.

    And transfer to airport for domestic flight to your next destination.
